Description
23 to 29 Berners Street is a terrace of early to mid 19th century houses built from white brick, with No 25 being newly painted. The buildings are three storeys high, and Nos 27 and 29 have basements. The terrace features a six-window range, primarily consisting of double-hung sash windows with glazing bars set in plain reveals, and stucco cornice lintels supported by brackets. In No 25, some of the double-hung sashes have been replaced with 20th century casements. This house also has a modern shop front on the ground floor and a cart entrance at the north end. Nos 27 and 29 have their doorways and a central passage grouped together. The roofs are covered with slate.
