Description
This is a terrace of six early 19th century houses, numbered 5 to 15, located on the south-west side of Fonnereau Road. The frontages are stuccoed, while the rear walls are red brick. The houses are three storeys high with basements. Nos. 5 to 13 each have two windows, and No. 15 has three. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set in plain reveals. The doorways feature segmental heads with margin glazing bars. The original doors are six-panelled, with some glazed panels. No. 15 now has a 20th-century glazed door, and all the doorways are topped with segmental headed fanlights. Raised stucco bands highlight the divisions between the floors. The roofs are slate. These houses, together with Bethesda Baptist Church and Nos. 9 and 11, St Margaret’s Plain, form a notable architectural group.
