Description

Whitehouse Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with 19th-century additions and alterations. It is timber-framed and has colourwashed render, originally thatched, now covered with plaintiles. The house is two storeys high with an attic. The front of the house has two doorways; the one on the right is set within a gabled porch and has a 19th-century six-panel door with a rectangular overlight, along with a decorative knocker. The door to the left has four flush panels and also features a decorative knocker. Two-light 19th-century casement windows are positioned between the doors and at either end of the front facade. Three similar windows, but of a smaller width, are on the first floor. Two gabled dormers light the attic. A chimney stack rises from the ridge towards the right-hand side of the house. The rear of the house has extensive 20th-century additions. The interior was not inspected.
