Description
10 and 12 Castle Street is a house from the 17th century that has been divided into two separate residences. It has two storeys and attics, following a three-cell plan. The building is timber-framed and roughcast, topped with a pantiled roof. Inside, there is an internal chimney stack with a rebuilt shaft made of Tudor brick. The upper storey features four cross windows, one of which has leaded panes. The ground storey has three similar windows and a small shop window on the right. There are two plank doors, with one door having a small panelled architrave and entablature. Inside No. 10, some of the framing is exposed. This building is included for its group value.
