Description

This is an 18th-century building on Church Street, situated at an important junction. It is two stories and has an attic, with two dormer windows featuring wooden, coved pediments. The exterior is stuccoed and colourwashed. The windows are flush-frame sashes; those on the first floor have central glazing bars, and the ground floor features shops with wooden cases, pilasters, and vertical glazing bars. A wooden moulded eaves cornice runs around the building and across the base of the gable. The roof is covered with machine tiles. There is an entrance on the splay and a second entrance, numbered 1B, directly on Church Street, leading to a four-panel door and a rectangular fanlight. Numbers 1 to 25 (odd) form a group.
