Description

Deben Tea Rooms, located at No 3 Church Street, is a building dating from 1852. It features a mix of 17th and 18th century elements alongside early 19th century design. The structure is three storeys tall, constructed with a timber frame and finished in stucco, topped with a cornice and a plain cill above. At the rear, there is a range of one and two storey buildings, some of which have exposed timbers internally and include leaded casements. The front of the building has sash windows with flat heads, with glazing bars present only on the top floor. There is a projecting splay bay shop front that includes an entrance on one splay and one sash window at ground level. The building is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 25 (odd).
