Description

Paget House, located on Church Street, was built in 1852 and is an early 19th-century two-storey building. It is constructed of painted brick and has a slate roof. The main façade features three oriel sash windows, with a fourth window now incorporated into Culmak House. The ground floor has sash windows with flat arches, and there is an 8-panel, diagonal fielded door flanked by narrow sidelights and topped with a segmental fanlight that has radial bars. To the left, there is a carriageway beneath the first floor, which includes a 9-panel, diagonally fielded door set within a four-centre "Tudor" arch adorned with carved spandrels. To the right, there is a wide modern recessed shop front. Paget House is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 25 (odd).
