Description

Nos 9 and 9A, Thoroughfare, date from the 18th century and are a two-story building with three small, pedimented dormers in the attic. The exterior is brick and rendered to resemble ashlar, with remnants of a decorative band. The roof is tiled. Original features include one sash window with an exposed frame, two shallow three-light sash oriels lacking glazing bars, and two sash windows with vertical glazing bars only. The building has wooden shop fronts with dentil entablatures. Number 9A features an early 19th-century six-panel door with a bolection moulding and a simple arched fanlight. Nos 1 to 11 (odd) are considered to form a group.
