Description

Ivy Lodge, located at 1 Doric Place, is likely an early 17th-century building with substantial alterations, most notably to the exterior in the early 19th century. It is a two-storey and attic property, with a partial facade of Suffolk yellow brick and a slate roof. A trellis balcony is positioned over the central bay on the south side, and there is an enclosed bay above at attic level. Pedimented dormers are present on the east side. The front door is a 6-panel design with fielded panels, the top panels now glazed. A key-ornamented arched porch dates from the early 19th century. The interior features exposed timber framing, primarily on the first floor with braces, and two-panel doors.
