Description

Chantry Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse with a later alteration date of 1874. It is timber framed and has a red brick facade, with plain tiled roofs. The building is arranged in an "L" shape and includes a lobby entrance. The main east-west range has two storeys and two bays, featuring Dutch gables and three-light casement windows. The east-west range contains a brick axial stack with the Sir William Wallace coat of arms displayed on its base, along with the inscribed date 1874, reflecting significant alterations made to the house at that time. A central entrance porch has a plain tile gable and mock half-timbering. Dutch gables are also visible on the roof of the main east-west range.
