Description
7 Market Hill is a 16th-century, two-storey and attic timber-framed building with a dormer casement window featuring glazing bars. The building is plastered and has an overhanging first floor. There’s a brick plinth and tile roof with a cove cornice. It has a three-light sash window on the first floor and a wide, shallow bow shop window with glazing bars within a wooden case featuring pilasters. The entrance has an 18th-century six-panel door, fielded, alongside a six-panel house door, also fielded, both within bolection architraves and square corner details. The listed buildings in Market Hill form a group centred around The Shire Hall.
