Description
Framlingham College is a public school founded in 1864 as the Albert Memorial College. It was designed by architect and civil engineer Frederick Peck from Furnival's Inn in London. The building is constructed in a Gothic style using red brick with freestone dressings and slate roofs. It has three storeys and features square turrets with steeply-pitched pointed roofs that rise above the main roofs. The façade includes a range of 3-light mullioned windows with shaped heads, and there are ornamental carved figures and gargoyles on the sills and lintels of each storey. A projecting wing on the west side was originally intended to serve as the headmaster's house.
