Description

Ash Cottage is a house that was originally two cottages, dating from the mid-17th century. The south end of the building is a later addition, likely from 1751, as indicated by a date inscribed on the internal plasterwork. The structure is timber framed and plastered, with a pantiled roof. It is a single storey with an attic, originally designed with a two-cell plan. The cottage features a four-window range with two-light casements and two catslide dormers. There is a boarded door on the left-hand side and one internal stack.
