Description

Nos. 42 and 43 on Hacheston Road are former farmhouses that have been converted into two dwellings. They date back to the early 17th century and feature a 19th-century lean-to extension on the north side of the west wing. The buildings have a T-shaped plan and are primarily timber framed, with most of the exterior plastered (originally in panels) and some areas covered in roughcast render. The roof is partly covered with plain tiles and partly with pantiles.

The east wing, which is No. 42, has a three-window range with 2-light casements, a 20th-century half-glazed door, and a simple gabled porch. There is a gable end stack on the south side. The west wing, No. 43, features an internal stack and a carved tie beam at the gable end.
