Description
Jesma Cottage is an estate cottage built in the mid-19th century, and it is one of a matching pair with Rose Cottage. The cottage is constructed of white brick and has a slated roof. It has one storey and a basement, with the basement at ground floor level at the rear.
The front facade features three bays separated by brick pilasters. The bays include dummy cross windows with semi-circular arched upper lights and glazing bars arranged in a geometric pattern, while the center window is partly glazed. There are semi-circular openings at the basement level. The gable ends have stacks, and the roof overhangs to form a broken pediment. On the left gable end, there is a quatrefoil in a square panel, and on the right gable end, there is another dummy window.
At the rear, there are two windows with three-light casements that have an elliptical arch above and a pointed center light, along with a central boarded door. A small outbuilding in a matching style is located at the rear.
