Description
Verandah Cottages is a row of three estate cottages built in the late 19th century. They are constructed of red brick, with the facade and gable ends covered in plaster and featuring applied half-timbering. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has decorative crest tiles. The cottages are single storey with an attic and have a symmetrical facade that includes a range of four windows, which are three-light casements with diamond leaded panes.
At the center, there is a gabled porch with a boarded door, flanked by two additional boarded doors at the far left and right. Each side of the porch features a ground floor verandah with a lean-to roof supported by timber posts. The building has four gabled dormers, each adorned with ornamental bargeboarding and spike finials. Additionally, there are two internal stacks with clustered hexagonal flues.
