Description

This is a 17th-century barn located 20 meters south of Mutford Hall. It is timber framed, with parts weatherboarded and parts clad in corrugated iron, and features a roof also made of corrugated iron. The barn consists of five bays and has a central gabled entrance porch on the north side. The frame includes some arched corner bracing, although much of the arched bracing in the open trusses has been replaced with knee braces. The roof structure consists of a lower row of staggered butt purlins and an upper row of clasped purlins. One end of the roof has been renewed.
