Description
Keens Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th or 17th century. It features a timber frame with colourwashed render and a brick skin, topped by a plain tile roof that was likely originally thatched. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in three cells.
On the entrance front, the ground floor is constructed with reused 16th or 17th century bricks sourced from Low Farm in Debach. The first floor displays rendered timber framing. There is a gabled porch located to the left of centre on the ground floor, which has a 2-light casement window in the gable end and a door to its right. To the right of the porch are two 3-light casement windows, while the first floor features three 3-light windows and a single-light window above the porch. A large 2-flue chimney stack is positioned to the left of centre over the porch.
On the right gable end, there is a chimney stack with offsets at the centre. The first floor has a 2-light window with a cambered head, along with two 2-light attic windows. The left gable end includes a gabled single-storey extension on the ground floor. At the rear, there is a 20th-century gabled porch on the right, accompanied by a 2-light 20th-century window and a 3-light 17th-century window with ovolo-moulded mullions to the left. Further left is a projecting gabled wing with a 2-light casement on the first floor, and a flat-roofed 20th-century addition projects from the left. The interior has not been inspected.
