Description
The Ramsholt War Memorial is a First World War memorial built in 1921, with later additions for the Second World War. It is located in the churchyard, to the east of the Church of All Saints, which is listed as Grade II*. The memorial features a plain stone wheel-head cross resting on a tapering rough-hewn plinth, which stands on a square base.
On the west face of the plinth, the main inscription is in incised and black-painted lettering. It reads: "IN GLORIOUS MEMORY OF/ THE MEN OF THIS PARISH/ WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914–1918/ (7 NAMES)/ 1939–1945/ (2 NAMES)/ THEIR NAME LIVETH/ FOR EVERMORE."
