Description
Whitehouse Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with the front range remodeled in the late 18th century and later rear additions. It has a T-shaped plan and is timber framed, with plaster on the rear and the front range mostly covered in colourwashed brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles and the building has two storeys and an attic.
The facade is symmetrical, featuring three windows that are two-light and three-light mullion and transom casements, each with slightly cambered brick arches. The doorway has a six-panel raised and fielded door, flanked by pilasters, with a frieze and a pedimented cornice above. There is a wooden modillion eaves cornice. The front range has a central internal stack, and the rear wing includes one square-leaded window.
