Description

The Old House is an early 18th-century house, altered in the mid-19th century. It is timber-framed with a red brick facade. A 20th-century outshut has been added to the rear. The roof is tiled, with bargeboards on the left-hand gable and a brick parapet with dark brick headers on the right-hand gable end. Red brick stacks are present. The house is two storeys and has an attic. There are four windows across the front, with sash windows in recessed frames, containing glazing bars and set within gauged brick arches. A central recessed doorway has a six-panelled door. The interior retains the original timber frame, featuring run-out chamfered stopped beams. The roof is of the clasped purlin type.
