Description

Mill House is an early 19th-century house, originally a mill house with a post mill located nearby. The house is constructed with stucco applied over ashlar, and has a slate roof. It features red brick stacks with moulded caps. The building is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window front, featuring sash windows with glazing bars set in flush frames. A prostyle portico with fluted Doric columns, an entablature including triglyphs, metopes, and a modillion cornice, provides access to the entrance. The doorway is flanked by fluted Doric pilasters and incorporates a six-panelled door with glazed upper panels. The remains of the round house which formed part of the mill are present but are not considered of particular interest.
