Description

The Well Cottage is a house dating from the early to mid 18th century. It is timber framed and plastered, with a pantiled roof and stands one and a half storeys high. The cottage features two windows with two-light casements and a plank door set in an early wide, heavy frame. There are also two gabled dormers. The gable ends have parapets and integral stacks. Although the date 1622 appears on the north gable, it is entirely spurious; however, a previous date of 1755 in this location may have some authenticity.
