Description
Marys Lane Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse located in Cookley Green, Huntingfield. The building is timber framed and plastered, with some areas featuring colourwashed brick casing, and it has a pantiled roof. It is a single storey with an attic and follows a three-cell plan. The farmhouse has three windows fitted with 20th-century casements, a lobby entrance that includes a mid-20th-century lean-to porch and a boarded door, as well as one catslide dormer. There is an internal stack, and at the rear, there is a lean-to addition that was enlarged in the mid-20th century. Inside, some of the framing and joists are exposed, and there is a three-light diamond mullioned window in the rear wall, along with evidence of other similar windows.
