Description
Brook Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with an earlier core at the west end. It is timber framed and plastered, topped by a hipped pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and a three-cell layout with a cross passage entry. There are various casement windows, mostly from the mid-20th century. On the north side, there is a doorway featuring a boarded door and a plain rectangular fanlight, along with several lean-to extensions. Inside, the farmhouse has exposed framing, newel stairs, and some original floorboarding. At the west end, the eaves have been raised by about 0.8 meters, and there is substantial corner bracing at both levels.
