Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse that was built in two phases, with the left section dating from the 16th century and the right section from the 17th century. The right part is set forward from the earlier section. The building is timber framed, with the facade roughcast rendered and featuring mid-20th century applied timber framing; the rear is plastered. The earlier section is a single storey with an attic, featuring two windows with 19th century three-light casements and two gabled dormers. There is a cross passage entry with a half-glazed door, and to the left side, there is a lower 18th century addition with a pantiled roof. The right section is two storeys with an attic and has 19th century casement windows. It includes one internal stack at the junction with the 16th century range and an external stack on the forward gable end. Inside, there are some good exposed framing elements, and the later part contains one original blocked mullioned window and original newel attic stairs.
