Description
Rookery Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th to 17th century, likely built in three phases. It features a timber frame with plastering and exposed framing on one gable end, topped by a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a single long range. There are five windows, which include various mid-20th century casements with square and diamond leaded panes. The entrance is a cross passage with a boarded door, and there is an internal stack. Inside, the farmhouse showcases fine exposed framing, exposed joists, and old floorboarding. A diamond-mullioned window has been revealed in a former gable end wall, and there is an arched brick fireplace on the ground floor, along with solid tread stairs leading to the attic.
