Description

The Poplars is a house dating from the early 17th century, with a mid-20th century rear wing. It features a timber frame that is plastered, with weatherboarded gables and a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a two-cell form. The front has two windows, which are mid-20th century 4-light square-leaded casements. There is a lobby entrance that includes a 19th century six-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed, and a simple gabled open porch. Inside, there is an internal stack and a well-restored interior that showcases good exposed framing, newel stairs, and old floorboarding.
