Description
Boyce's Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with an 18th-century wing to the south. It has an L-shaped plan and is constructed from timber framing and plaster, with some small areas of panelled plasterwork. The roof is covered with pantiles. The building has two storeys, and the main range includes a now disused attic. The main range consists of three cells and features scattered fenestration, primarily consisting of 19th-century casement windows. There is a lobby entrance with an altered four-panel door and an internal stack, along with a further internal stack in the south wing. Inside the main range, there are some notable exposed timbers, and the interior of a first-floor cupboard by the stack has the date 1737 inscribed in the plasterwork.
