Description
The service wing located immediately southeast of Sotterley Hall dates from around 1840. It is constructed of red brick and features rusticated quoins that match the main hall. The roof is covered with glazed black pantiles. The building has two storeys, with the lower floor set below ground level. On the south side, there is a range of 11 sash windows with glazing bars, all set under segmental arches. At both ends of this range, there are doorways featuring 6-panel doors topped with rectangular fanlights. The four central bays are further defined by additional brick rustication. The roof has various stacks with groups of square flues arranged in a diamond pattern.
