Description
The stabling and coach house, located immediately to the east of Sotterley Hall, was built around 1840. This structure is made of red brick and features rusticated quoins that match the Hall. The roof is covered with glazed black pantiles. The building is mainly single storey, with part of it having a loft, and is arranged to form a quadrangle, with all main openings facing inward toward the courtyard.
There is a segmental-arched carriageway entrance from the north, which is set forward and has a pediment with panelled doors. Inside the courtyard, there are two carriage houses that retain their original doors, along with various six-panel and boarded doors that feature arched fanlights. Additionally, there are three-light windows with three-centre arched heads.
