Description
Gedgrave Hall is a house that dates from the late 17th century to the early 18th century, with a likely earlier timber core. The interior has been significantly altered over time. There is a late 19th-century extension to the southwest that matches the original style. The earlier part of the house is a double pile structure with two storeys and an attic, built of red brick featuring a pattern of dark headers. It has a plain tiled hipped roof with a valley gutter. The windows are sashes set in flush frames with glazing bars and are topped with gauged brick arches. The central entrance doorway, which is from the 20th century, has replaced the original porch. There is a brick plat band and exposed rafter feet at the eaves. The house has an axial brick chimney stack and two gabled dormers with casement windows.
