Description
Avenue Cottage is a house dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is timber framed, finished with colourwashed render, and has a thatched roof. The building stands two storeys tall.
On the entrance front, there is a gabled 20th-century porch located to the right of the centre. To the right of the porch, there is a 2-light 19th-century casement window, and to the left, a 2-light 20th-century casement window, with a single-light window at the far left. The first floor features three 2-light 20th-century metal-framed casement windows. There is a two-flue axial stack positioned at the right of the centre.
The left gable end of the roof is blank, while the right side is half-hipped and has two single-light ground floor casement windows with battered walling. At the rear of the cottage, there is a deep brick plinth with two offsets and two cross windows located at the right of centre and far right.
