Description

Castle Cottage is a house dating from the late 19th century, with a possible earlier timber-framed core. The building has been significantly altered in the 19th century. It features plastered walls and plain tiles with barge boards. The house is two storeys tall and has a full-height canted bay with sash windows that have flush frames. To the right side, there is a single-storey canted oriel window. The roof is hipped and slated, and there are more sash windows with flush frames. The entrance doorway is adorned with pilasters, a carved cornice, and a panelled door. A tall brick chimney stack is also present. The cottage is included for its group value.
