Description

This barn, located 60 meters southwest of High House, dates from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, topped with a pantiled roof. The barn features five bays and has a central cart entrance with a porch on the southeast side. The frame is well-crafted, including a middle rail in the end walls, although all but one of the arch braces have been replaced with bolted-on knees. The roof is a queen post design and was originally half hipped.
