Description

Nos 2 to 4 Nayland Road is a 17th-century timber-framed and plastered house featuring cross wings at both the north-west and south-east ends. The south-east cross wing has a jettied gable supported by a carved bressummer. Originally, the upper storey was jettied but has since been underbuilt. The timber-framing is exposed, and the carved bressummer is still visible. The building has two storeys and attics, with a three-window range. Nos 2 and 3 have double-hung sashes with glazing bars, while No 4 features casements with lattice leaded lights. The roofs are tiled, and there is a large square chimney stack located in the central part of the building.
