Description

Kings Farm and Oriole Cottage is a 16th to 17th century timber-framed and plastered house located in Long Melford. It features a cross wing at the north end and stands two storeys high, with the upper storey jettied on the west front. The main block has leaded casement windows, including a prominent five-light mullioned and transomed window on the upper storey. The cross wing contains 20th century casements and two small bays on the ground storey beneath the jetty. The roof is tiled and has a large square central chimney stack. Inside, the house showcases exposed ceiling beams and joists.
