Description

LAVENHAM HIGH STREET 1. 5377 (east side) Swan Hotel (that part formerly listed as No 102) TL 9149 50/589 23.1.58 II* GV 2. A C15-C16 timber-framed and plastered building now incorporated into the Swan Hotel. Restored and altered. Roof tiled. The timber-framing is exposed on the front. Two storeys. The upper storey is jettied on the whole front on exposed joists with the remains of brackets with moulded capitals and shafts. Three window range of modern restored leaded casements. At the south end there is a restored 4-centred arched doorway and boarded door and at the north end a former cart entrance.
