Description

Yaxley Cottage is a 15th to 16th century timber-framed and plastered building with a tiled roof, located on Lavenham High Street. It has been restored and renovated, featuring exposed timber-framing on the upper storey, which jetties out on curved brackets. The southern part of the building is two storeys high, while the northern part is single storey. The south section has a two-window range of modern casements with leaded lights, along with a blocked original window. The north section contains small leaded casements and a blocked original doorway. A large square chimney stack is situated between the north and south blocks.
