Description

1 Westgate Street is an early 19th century house constructed of red brick with white brick dressings. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars, set within stuccoed reveals. The central entrance consists of a two-panel door with round-headed panels, topped by a plain semi-circular fanlight and a gauged brick arch. A raised brick band runs across the front of the house between the two storeys. The roof is hipped, covered with slate, and has overhanging eaves.
