Description

The cottage adjoining and now part of the Swan Inn, located on Church Hill in Monks Eleigh, is a timber-framed and plastered building of medieval origin. The section that is part of the Swan Inn features a room known as the Justices Room, which has a heavy moulded beam likely dating from the 15th century. The building has two storeys and a three-window range of modern casements, along with a boarded door. The roof is thatched and includes an internal chimney stack on the west side.
