Description

High Cottage is likely a former medieval hall house that has undergone significant alterations in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building features a cross wing at the west end with a thatched roof, while the main block is covered with tiles. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window range of double-hung sashes with vertical glazing bars. A tall ridge chimney stack is present on the main block. Inside, there are remnants of the hall house frame, although it has been much altered over time.
