Description

Dove House is a timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 16th to 17th centuries. It has a cross wing at its southern end, which has been extended to the east, creating an L-shaped plan. The roof is tiled. The timber frame is visible on the front of the building. It is two storeys high. The upper storey of the cross wing is jettied outwards over the front, supported by carved brackets, and shows exposed ceiling joists. There are no windows on the west front of the main block. The cross wing has small casement windows. A chimney stack rises from the roof with a saw-tooth-shaped shaft. The building is of group value context.
