Description
This is a 16th-century house with a cross wing at the west end. Most of the house, except for the west side of the cross wing, has been rebuilt in modern red brick, imitating 16th-century style. This includes small gables on the front of the house and a small gabled recessed porch. The original west side of the cross wing is of brickwork and features two large corbie-stepped chimneys with modern shafts. A rectangular window opening, fitted with leaded casement windows, is positioned between the chimneys on both floors. The upper floor of the cross wing has large ceiling beams exposed, and other interior features likely remain. The house forms a group with numbers 2 to 8 Church Street.
