Description

Number 6 on Church Street is a building that likely dates from the 16th or 17th century, although its front was rebuilt and altered in the 19th century. It features a three-window range with sash windows, a ground floor bay, and an elaborate doorcase with a pediment supported by pairs of decorated consoles. This same style of doorcase can also be found at Number 2. The house is two stories tall, constructed with a timber frame and plaster, and has tiled roofs. Inside, there are remains of 17th-century wall paintings in an upper room. Numbers 2 to 8 on Church Street form a group of buildings.
