Description

Iona and Elverton is a mid-19th century house built of grey gault brick, now divided into two tenements. The building is two storeys high and features a three-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars and plain reveals. Originally, the ground storey had a 19th-century shop front at the south end, which has since been bricked up, and a new double-hung sash window has been added to match the others. The original shop doorways, complete with pilasters and a cornice fascia, still remain. The roof is covered with slate. This building is included for its group value.
