Description

Stour Cottage is a cottage that likely has a 17th-century core and was refronted in the late 18th to early 19th century. It is timber-framed with a brick front that is rendered, and it features a plain tile roof with a brick stack. The cottage is two storeys high with a three-bay front. The central entrance is under an ogee arch and is flanked by pointed three-light casements that have Gothick glazing. Above, there are two-light pointed casements. The roof is steeply pitched. To the left, a section of the wall containing an arched entrance connects with the West Lodge stables. At the rear, there is a cat-slide roof and a single-storey range with a large ridge stack. The interior has not been inspected.
