Description

Polstead Ponds Farmhouse is a 18th century building featuring a red brick front that conceals an earlier timber-framed structure. A date panel on the front displays the initials W.B.B. and the year 1760. The roof is hipped and tiled, with two hipped dormers on the front. The farmhouse has two storeys and attics, with a seven-window range of double-hung sashes that include glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. The central doorway is framed by a Doric doorcase topped with a modillion pediment. The house is located to the north of Polstead Ponds, which are now partly filled in.
