Description
Nether Hall is a house that dates from the 16th or 17th century, with later alterations including 19th-century front and right extensions. It is timber framed and plastered, featuring a red plain tiled roof, while the 19th-century range has a grey slate roof. The building has two storeys and comprises a long range with a 19th-century red brick section to the south, which extends out to the east. There is also a northern range and a single-storey extension to the right (east). A large external chimney stack, originating from the 16th or 17th century, is located on the right side, with an attached shaft to the right extension. The windows consist of a range of vertically sliding sashes, arranged in a pattern of 0:1:1:2. The main range and right extension have board doors, and there is a 19th-century angled bay on the left return. The top plate and ends of the side purlins are visible externally on the gables. Access to the interior was not permitted during the last survey.
