Description
Ackworth House is a house dating to approximately 1840. It is constructed primarily of white brick with a slate roof. The house is two storeys high, originally comprising three bays, with a low service wing attached to the right. A plinth is present, and projecting pilasters support a pediment over the central bay, with angle pilasters flanking the facade. The central entrance features a six-panel door, flanked by sidelights, beneath a radial fanlight. Sashes with glazing bars are set within reveals with cornices on both floors. A first-floor band runs along the facade, and a cornice sits above. The roof is hipped, with corniced stacks. A full-height bow window with pilasters and sashes with glazing bars is present on the left return. The interior has not been inspected.
